The Managed Care Quality Group (MCQG) was the predecessor of the Nigerian Society of Health Care Quality. The core of the membership consists of clinicians and mainly those practicing within the Hygeia HMO Clinic Network. They meet monthly to produce treatment and operational protocols and guidelines for the day-to-day management of Hygeia enrollees.
